Situated in the North- East region of Vietnam, Ha Long bay is a bay in the Gulf of Tonkin comprised of regions of Ha Long city, the township of Cam Pha , and a part of the island district of Van Don. Ha Long borders Cat Ba Island in the southwest, the East Sea in the east, and the maintain, creating a 120 km coastline. 

Sapa, nestling in a beautiful valley on the border with China, is northwest Vietnam’s most colourful destination. Vivid green rice terrace are sculpted into the mountain sides while in the fields H’mong and Dao and other ethnic minorities trek into town from the surrounding countryside to trade goods at the weekend markets in Sapa, Bac Ha. Sapa and its environs has some of the best trekking in Vietnam and there are many ethnic minority villages that can be reached in day treks, for a real hill tribe experience it is possible to stay overnight in local villages along the way.
