The valleys surrounding Sapa are home to several of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups, each with their own distinctive dress, customs and dialects which can all be seen at the weekend markets in Sapa area. Can Cau Market is a small, but very colorful market, set in the mountains near the Chinese border. Almost every Saturday around 8 different minorities are represented at the market. And Bac Ha market with all its colorful ethnic people as Flower H'mong, Phu La and Dao Tuyen who gathers to buy and sell will be the next destination.
Night 1: Ha Noi - Sa Pa
21:00: pickup at the hotel. Transfer to railway station for a night train SP3 at 22:00 to Sapa.

Day 1 (Saturday): Can Cau - Bac Ha
Picked up at Lao cai Train Station, transfer to Can Cau market. It takes more than 2 hours to get to Can Cau - a small market situated in a valley surrounded by mountains and only 7 km from China. The market deeply shows the typical cultural features of the minorities in remote mountainous areas in Vietnam. Further more, you can enjoy seeing boys and girls in colorful costumes - different colors of the mountains. They attend the market in the hope of finding "the other halves of their lives" and this is also the time for them to chat, to exchange everything among different ethnic peoples through cups of wine sold in the market. Drive to Bache. On the way, spend time visiting a village of the Flower H'mong and then check in hotel in Bac Ha. Free to explore the town. Lunch in Can Cau or in Bac Ha and dinner in Bac Ha.

Day 2 (Sunday): Bac Ha - Sa Pa
Breakfast and the beginning of the day on which you visit a big market filled with many different hill-tribe peoples. This is the most colorful market in North Vietnam. At the market, you have chance to enjoy Bac Ha people's simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches... talking to the minorities through the guide's interpretation. Leave the market for the H'mong King's house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920. Return the town for lunch. In the afternoon, spend time visiting another village (Ban Pho village) Say good bye to Bac Ha and get back to Sapa. Reach Sapa late in the afternoon. Check in hotel in Sapa.

Day 3: Sa Pa – Cat Cat – Sin Chai
Breakfast in hotel, walking to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H’Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and beautiful scenery along the way. Back to Sapa then you have free time to visit Sapa by yourself until transfer to Lao Cai station for the night train back to Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi round 5:00 AM. The end of tour.
